Information Nyx May Process
Nyx may process your prompts, the surrounding selected channel context, optional model
choices, and media you provide such as images, files, or URLs.
Depending on the command used, Nyx may also process OCR inputs, moderation requests,
search queries, and generated outputs needed to respond in Discord.
How Data Is Used
Processed data is used to generate replies, perform requested tools (such as summarize,
imagine, OCR, moderation, and search), and apply safety checks.
Nyx also uses this data for operational purposes such as rate limiting, abuse
prevention, and maintaining service quality.
Storage and Retention
Conversation memory is temporary in-memory state. You can inspect, clear, disable, or
enable it with /memory, and it resets on service restart.
Companion profile preferences configured via /profile are stored until
you update or reset them.
Third-Party Processing
Nyx may send requests to ALabs AI SDK providers for chat, image generation, OCR,
moderation, and related AI functionality.
When using /search, Nyx may retrieve public information from an
allowlisted set of sources such as Wikipedia and selected news outlets.
User Controls
You can manage stored personalization and memory using
/memory and /profile reset.
If you no longer want context used for responses, disable memory and avoid including
prior-message references in requests.
Security and Sensitive Information
Do not share passwords, tokens, financial information, government identifiers, or other
sensitive personal data in prompts or uploaded files.
While reasonable safeguards are applied, no internet-based service can guarantee
absolute security.
Minors and Restricted Data
Nyx is not intended for unlawful collection of children’s data or regulated sensitive
categories without appropriate authorization and safeguards.
Server administrators and users are responsible for using Nyx in compliance with local
laws and platform rules.
